Abstract

A lubrication product used in the packings and plungers of hydraulic pumps used in fracking and other oilfield applications. The composition including: 1) diluent oil, comprising of naphthenic, paraffinic, or synthetic origin ranging from 60 SUS to 3000 SUS at 100° F.; 2) olefin co-polymers, either high propylene or high ethylene, or combinations thereof; 3) polybutene, ranging in molecular weights from 100-6000 4) high molecular weight poly-ISO-Butylene, ranging from 500,000 to 3,000,000; 5) PIBSA dispersant; 6) performance additives, containing anti-wear and extreme pressure properties. Most preferable is a sulfur/phosphorus gear oil package.

Abstract

A food grade lubricant composition particularly useful for hydraulic oils, gear oils, and compressor oils for equipment used in the food processing and packaging industry having a composition: (a) propylene glycol; (b) water (preferably deionized), (c) high ethyl PAG polymer; (d) capric acid; (e) potassium hydroxide; and, (f) amine phosphate and a method of formulating the composition. In addition a method of lubricating surfaces of the machinery used for processing or packaging food, food packaging materials, or other materials related to the food processing industry including the step of applying the formulation composition to the surfaces of the food processing or packaging machinery.

Abstract

A fire resistant paper machine oil comprising a blend of oil soluble base and water insoluble base having the formula: 0-100 wt % Oil Soluble PAG (Polyalkylene Glycol); 0-100 wt % Polyol Ester; an anti-wear additive; rust inhibitor; hindered phenolic anti-oxidant; alkylated di phenyl amine anti-oxidant; and, foam inhibitor. A blend of the base oils are the most preferred embodiment, however, a product could be formulated using only one type of base material such as an oil soluble base or a water insoluble base.

A rubber friendly lubricant composition adapted for lubricating the cable in a greaseless down hole logging process including a general formulation: polypropylene glycol, poly alkylene glycol; amine borate; 1,3,4-Thiadiazolidine-2,5-dithione, disodium salt; and, deionized water. The lubricant being compatible with seals and rubbers, and other related materials, used on trucks and other oil field vehicles and equipment. Being water soluble, the lubricant also presents a low potential for fire risk, and is considered environmentally friendly. The lubricant also exhibiting superior freeze properties.
