Abstract

Disclosed is a process of removing heavier hydrocarbons from the reaction products of producing sec-butyl acetate, which is characterized in: drawing out the materials from heavier hydrocarbon-rich zone and contacting the materials with water sufficiently, thereby the heavier hydrocarbons and water coming into layers naturally. The upper layer of heavier hydrocarbons is discharged and the lower layer of water is recharged into the system. The heavier hydrocarbon-rich zone refers to a zone enriched with heavier hydrocarbons and formed at the lower part of the azeotropic rectification column during the course of azeotropic separation, and the azeotropic separation refers to the process of feeding the mixture containing sec-butyl acetate, acetic acid and heavier hydrocarbons into the azeotropic rectification column, adding azeotropic agent for azeotropic rectification, and evaporating the azeotrope formed by sec-butyl acetate and azeotropic agent from the top of the column, and acetic acid and the heavier hydrocarbons falling into the bottom.

A METHOD OF PROTECTING CATALYST USED FOR PREPARING LOW FATTY ESTER

Abstract

A method of protecting catalyst used for preparing low fatty ester is provided. An acid ion exchanging resin catalyst is protected by washing 2-5C olefin to eliminate part of catalyst toxin in olefin before they enter the reactor; and eliminating harmful substances of 1-4C fatty acid and/or 2-5C olefin using reaction assistant agent in a pre-reactor. The advantage of the invention is that the method prevents catalyst poisoning since the harmful impurities have been eliminated, so that catalyst will not lose reactive ability when it is used more than 6 months, at the same time the reaction assistant agent for protecting the catalyst has no metal ion crossing filter phenomenon, and there is small pressure difference between the bed layers of the reaction agent.
