Abstract

An unclamping arm includes a right fulcrum section, a left fulcrum section, a cam follower, and pressing sections. The right and left fulcrum sections are rotatably supported within a spindle head. The cam follower, in conjunction with the movement of the spindle head, 5 contacts a cam surface provided to an upright column, and receives external pressure. As a result of the cam follower receiving external pressure, the pressing sections rotate about the right and left fulcrum sections, thereby pressing or not pressing pins of a draw bar provided within a spindle. The pressing sections are positioned between the cam follower and the right and left fulcrum sections; the right fulcrum section, the left fulcrum section, and the pressing sections are 10 positioned on a straight line intersecting the axial direction of the spindle; and the cam follower is positioned separated to the upright column-side from the right and left fulcrum sections.

Abstract

For an image forming apparatus including first and second storage chambers, an inequality expression of “R2>A×R1” is met. R1 is a sum of a passage resistance value obtained by flowing air through a first air communication portion and a passage resistance value obtained by flowing liquid through a supply portion. R2 is a passage resistance value obtained by flowing air through a second air communication portion. A is a cross-sectional area ratio obtained by dividing a first average cross-sectional area of a first space of the first storage chamber taken along a plurality of horizontal planes by a second average cross-sectional area of a second space of the second storage chamber taken along the plurality of horizontal planes. The first space contains at least a portion adjacent to the supply portion and accumulating the liquid. The second space contains at least a portion accumulating the liquid.

Abstract

An information processing device has an operating system including a general-purpose printing program. In a case that a print instruction to execute a printing of a target image on a printing device is issued from an application program to the general-purpose printing program and intermediate data representing the target image is received, a computer of the information processing device performs, according to a support program corresponding to the printing device, a preview process of displaying a preview image of the target image, and a settings modification process of, while the preview image is displayed, receiving a modification of a setting value for a parameter related to color balance. In a case that the setting value is modified in the settings modification process, the computer performs, according to the support program, a print control process of causing the printing device to print the target image according to the modified setting value.

Abstract

A data processing method is for managing first and second image processing devices using a server. In the method, the server receives a request to replace the first image processing device, acquires from the first image processing device data, and stores the acquired data as data originally stored in the first image processing device. The data originally stored in the first image processing device includes settings information. In the method, the server communicates with the second image processing device which is a replacement device. In a case that a prescribed condition is satisfied, the server sends the data originally stored in the first image processing device to the second image processing device. For satisfying the prescribed condition, satisfying a condition that a prescribed function of the first image processing device has been deactivated on the basis of the request received by the server is necessary.

Abstract

A printing device includes: a printing engine configured to be driven by electric power from a battery including a battery terminal; a housing defining a battery accommodating portion; a contact terminal facing downward and configured to flex upward; and a battery tray attachable to the battery accommodating portion. In a state where the battery is mounted on a mounting surface of the battery tray, the battery is movable between: a first position at which the battery is in a first posture; and a second position at which the battery is in a second posture. During an attachment process of the battery tray to the battery accommodating portion, a pressing portion of the walls presses the battery at the second position to move the battery to the first position and place the battery in the first posture such that the battery terminal contacts the contact terminal from below.

Abstract

An image forming apparatus includes a controller configured to provide a mobile input function that enables the image forming apparatus to accept input operations from a mobile terminal via a network interface. After starting to provide the mobile input function, the controller sends display data to the mobile terminal via the network interface, thereby causing the mobile terminal to display an operation screen for operating the image forming apparatus from the mobile terminal. The controller displays a standby screen including a particular operable object on a touch panel when the mobile input function is not provided. When the particular operable object is operated, the controller switches the standby screen to a local operation screen. In response to accepting an operation on the local operation screen, the controller performs a process according to what kind of operation has been accepted on the local operation screen.

Abstract

A controller of a liquid ejection apparatus controls an ejection inspection circuit to perform a first ejection inspection. After the first ejection inspection, the controller controls a driving element to perform a post-inspection driving operation including a plurality of types of driving operations. The plurality of types of driving operations have different driving frequencies for driving the driving element. After the post-inspection driving operation, the controller controls the ejection inspection circuit to perform a second ejection inspection. In a case where a first condition is satisfied regarding a relationship between a result of the first ejection inspection and a result of the second ejection inspection, the controller performs a first operation including the post-inspection driving operation after the second ejection inspection. In a case where the first condition is not satisfied, the controller performs a second operation different from the first operation after the second ejection inspection.

Abstract

An inspection signal output circuit including an electrode. The inspection signal output circuit outputs an inspection signal indicating an electrical change in the electrode when a head is driven to eject liquid from a nozzle toward the electrode. A controller performs an inspection operation sequentially for a plurality of nozzles. The inspection operation includes driving the head to eject liquid from the nozzle toward the electrode, acquiring the inspection signal output from the inspection signal output circuit, and determining whether there is an abnormality in ejection of liquid in the nozzle based on the acquired inspection signal. The controller performs, as the inspection operation, a first-type inspection of acquiring the inspection signal in a first order for the plurality of nozzles, and a second-type inspection of acquiring the inspection signal in a second order for the plurality of nozzles. The second order is different from the first order.

Abstract

A printing apparatus includes a controller including a multiplexing circuit and a separation circuit. The multiplexing circuit generates a time division multiplex signal based on first data representing a first drive waveform and second data representing a second drive waveform. The separation circuit includes a switch to separate a first drive waveform signal indicating the first drive waveform or a second drive waveform signal indicating the second drive waveform from the time division multiplex signal based on a synchronization signal. The controller causes the switch to separate the first drive waveform signal from the time division multiplex signal to drive an actuator to cause a nozzle to eject liquid, and causes the switch to separate the second drive waveform signal from the time division multiplex signal to drive the actuator without causing the nozzle to eject the liquid, thereby increasing a temperature of the separation circuit.

Abstract

An image forming apparatus includes a transfer roller, a fuser, a chute, a drive source, a reciprocating mechanism, and a controller. The transfer roller transfers toner to a sheet. The fuser fixes toner on the sheet. The chute is located upstream from the fuser in a sheet conveying direction. The chute is configured to convey the sheet toward the fuser. The chute is movable between a first position and a second position. The reciprocating mechanism reciprocates by drive force from the drive source and moves the chute between the first position and the second position. The controller executes: a first mode of actuating the drive source when conveying one sheet; and a second mode of not actuating the drive source when conveying one sheet. The controller switches between the first mode and the second mode in a middle of a print job.

Abstract

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium stores a support program for an information processing device connectable to a printer. The information processing device includes: a display; a computer; and a memory. The memory stores an operating system in which a general-purpose printing program corresponding to the printer and supported by the support program is embedded. The general-purpose printing program is configured to manage data for displaying a print settings screen on the display. The support program, when executed by the computer, causes the information processing device to perform: when a request is issued from the general-purpose printing program in response to the printer being selected: acquiring; generating; and transferring. The acquiring acquires status information indicating a status of the printer. The generating generates notification data indicating a notification content to be provided to a user.
