A curved visor comprising a front portion that, in use, is positioned in front of a user's face, a peripheral portion that, in use, is positioned to the sides of the user's face, and an inner surface; wherein the front and peripheral portions are each made of an optically transparent or translucent material, and the front and peripheral portions together form a curved visor body that, in use, provides a user with a substantially uninterrupted field of view; and wherein the curved visor further comprises a first reflective portion positioned along the curved visor body between the front and peripheral portions, the first reflective portion being positioned and angled relative to the curved visor body such that, in use, the user is provided with an image of an environment behind the user.
