Abstract

In a device of a cover of a light well opening for an interior of a building or similar structure, the cover has a housing frame (2) and a composite safety glass (3) or the like tightly fastened therein. The housing frame (2) is provided with at least one through opening (11) for a passage of air between the interior and the exterior. The at least one through opening (11) in the housing frame (2) can be moved from an open to a closed position, or vice versa, by means of a closing element (12) of the device, which closing element is integrated in the housing frame (2) and can be actuated manually or by a motor. This closing element permits an efficient supply or discharge of air or enables a closing state to be set.

Abstract

In an apparatus for illuminating rooms, with a light shaft (2; 2') having reflecting inner walls (3), an inlet opening (5; 45) for daylight is provided at one end of said light shaft. Subsections (11, 12, 13; 41, 42, 43) of the light shaft walls are transparent or translucent. Light deflection modules (21, 22, 23; 57) for deflecting the light in different directions are arranged in the region of these transparent or translucent subsections (11, 12, 13; 41, 42, 43), said light deflection modules (21, 22, 23; 57) each comprising a number of laminations (25, 26, 27), which have, at least partially, a reflecting surface. The quantity of light determined for the individual rooms can therefore be regulated in a simple manner, as desired.

Abstract

A device for covering a light well opening is provided with a composite safety glass (15) which can be inserted into a metal frame (15, 21, 22) and which has an outer and an inner insulating glass pane (16, 17). The metal frame (15, 21, 22) comprises a bezel (10) that can be fixed to a component having the light well opening (2) and also at least one support (21, 22), formed as a profiled frame, for the composite safety glass (15). The support (21, 22) can be fixed to the bezel (10) via a number of mountings (20) distributed over the circumference thereof. The mountings (20) are provided with means for adjusting the support (21, 22) with respect to the bezel (10) and with means for the thermal isolation of these two parts. The composite safety glass can be adjusted and, in the process, tolerances can be taken into account, so that the glazing exhibits no parts projecting with respect to the visible upper surface of the bezel.
