Abstract
Constructing a mechanical design of a wireless microphone comprising an outer housing having an outer opening, inner housing having an inner opening, ECM device, rubber cover, waterproof mesh, and metal mesh. The ECM device with rubber cover is positioned within the inner opening of the inner housing. The waterproof mesh and metal mesh are positioned within the outer opening of the outer housing. A top air cavity comprises an empty space between the top surface of the ECM device and the outer opening of the outer housing. Due to protection of the ECM device from water, debris, and wind provided by the waterproof mesh and the metal mesh, the top air cavity can be formed to be shallower relative to a conventional wireless microphone. The shallow top air cavity provides better frequency response performance than a conventional deep top air cavity for the audio sound captured by the ECM device.
