A multi-hull marine vessel (10) includes a retractable hydrofoil system (12) having a pair of retractable foils (20) mounted to deploy from opposite sides (36) of a tunnel (16) defined between adjacent hulls (14). The foils (20) are pivotably mounted to respective bottoms (30) of the hulls (14) and retract behind respective steps (22) formed therein.
