Abstract

A compact portable power charger having an internal rechargeable battery is provided with a wall plug interface and a car charger interface selectively and independently connected to the charger as power input interfaces for recharging the internal battery when the charger is connected to respective external power sources via the interfaces. Each interface is pivotably movable between an extended position where the interface projects outwardly away from the charger housing for use and a retracted position for storage of the interface within a respective cavity formed in the charger housing. The charger further includes a power output interface, such as a power connection port, operatively connected to the internal battery for providing an electrical charge from the internal battery to an electronic device when the electronic device is connected to the charger via the power output interface.

Abstract

A portable battery charger comprises a power cord having a first end and a second end, with a power input connector interface on the first end of the cord for connection to a power source and a power output connector interface on the second end of the cord for connection to an electronic device needing recharging. A rechargeable battery internally disposed within the power cord is operably connected with the power input connector interface, the power output connector interface, and a power indicator means for indicating the power capacity in the internal battery unit. The battery charger can be combined with an adapter unit or interchangeable adapter pieces on the power input end to interface with various power sources. The battery charger can similarly be combined with an adapter unit or interchangeable adapter pieces on the power output end to interface with various charging connection ports used on electronic devices.

Abstract

A portable power charger having an internal rechargeable battery includes a charger housing having at least power connection port and a flashlight portion having at least one flashlight bulb. The power connection port is operatively connected to the rechargeable battery and can be used to connect the charger with an external power source, an electronic device, or both. The flashlight is operatively connected to the internal battery as well, either via a direct connection, via the power connection port, or via a dedicated rechargeable flashlight battery unit that can be recharged from the battery unit of the power charger. The power connection port can act in a power input mode when the charger is connected with an external power source via the power connection port and in a power output mode when at least one electronic device is connected to the charger via the power connection port.

Abstract

A portable power charger having an internal rechargeable battery is provided with a power connection port than can act in a power input mode when the charger is connected with an external power source via the power connection port and in a power output mode when at least one electronic device is connected to the charger via the power connection port. The power charger may be connected with both an external power source and an electronic device via the power connection port at the same time, wherein the charge supplied from the external power source recharges the charger and any electronic device connected to the charger. The charger also can automatically turn on if a connector cable is connected to the power connection port with either an external power supply or an electronic device connected at the other end of the cable to supply or draw power through the cable.

Abstract

A portable charger is provided for charging one or more electronic devices simultaneously from a rechargeable internal battery. To accommodate multiple electronic devices, a portable charger unit is combined with multiple connectors for connecting to more than one electronic device, as necessary. For example, the charger unit can include at least one power output for connection to electronic devices via connectors or charging cables, including a squid connector providing multiple connection interfaces adaptable to a variety of electronic devices. Alternatively, the charger unit can include two or more connector cables connected to the charger unit and stored within the charger housing for connection to electronic devices when needed. An adapter unit is provided for connection to the charger unit for recharging the internal battery of the charger unit.
