Abstract
The present invention provides a pneumatic launcher (1) for launching a device (11), comprising a barrel (2), a piston assembly (8) and a piston stopping assembly (9); the barrel (8) has a first end (3) and a second end (4), the first end (3) is connected to a high-pressure gas source (5) able to provide pressurized gas to the first end (3), and the second end (4) is open; the piston assembly (8) is arranged in the barrel and comprises a plate-shaped piston element (12) and a circumference sealed against the inner surface of the barrel, and is movable within the barrel from a first position (A) to a second position (B) during launch of the device, the first position is closer to the first end than the second position; and the piston stopping assembly is arranged to restrain the piston assembly (8) when in the second position.
