Abstract

A method for extracting a phenolic substance from coal tar or direct coal liquefaction oil, comprising the following steps: (1) extracting the phenolic substance from coal tar or direct coal liquefaction oil, the raffinate phase being dephenolized oil, and the extracting phase being an extracting agent enriched in the phenolic substance; (2) applying an acidifying agent to acidify the extracting phase to obtain crude phenol oil and the extracting agent enriched in the acidifying agent; (3) performing the acidifying agent removal and extracting agent regeneration; and (4) recycling a few amount of extracting agent in the dephenolized oil and crude phenol oil.
