A waste treatment device for separating recyclable material from other waste comprising: —a first substantially cylindrical cavity inside which the waste to be treated is introduced; —a shaft, rotating about its axis, in the centre of the cylindrical cavity; —screening meshes which separate the cylindrical cavity from a second underlying cavity inside which waste material is collected; —hammers attached at a first end to the shaft so as to be able to rotate in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the shaft. The hammers are provided with a respective scraper terminating in an edge remaining directed in a direction substantially parallel to the axis of the rotating shaft and projecting longitudinally beyond the end of the hammer so as to pass at a nominal minimum distance from the screening mesh. A related mounting method for a waste treatment device is also disclosed.

WASTE TREATMENT DEVICE AND RELATED MOUNTING METHOD
A waste treatment device and its related mounting method, the device being suitable for separating recyclable material mixed together with other waste, the device having internally a first substantially cylindrical cavity inside which the waste to be treated is introduced through an inlet opening (2), a shaft (4) rotating about its axis in the centre of the cylindrical cavity, at least a screening mesh (5) which separate the cylindrical cavity, inside which recyclable waste is confined, from a second underlying cavity inside which waste material is collected, at least one hammer (6A, 6B) attached at a first end to the shaft so as to be able to rotate in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the shaft, t he at least one hammer being provided with a respective scraper (11Α, 11Β) terminating in an edge, removably fixed onto the hammer so as to extend the longitudinal dimension thereof, remaining directed in a direction substantially parallel to the axis of the rotating shaft and projecting longitudinally beyond the end of the hammer so as to pass at a nominal minimum distance from the screening mesh.

OSCILLATING-SHAFT MACHINES FOR GRINDING OR PRESSING ORGANIC WASTE
This disclosure describes a machine for treating organic waste, comprising a casing which defines an inner treatment chamber for organic waste delimited at least in part by a screening grid, and an inlet opening for waste at one end of the chamber and an outlet opening at an end opposite to the inlet opening; at least one driven shaft installed in the inner chamber and provided with mechanical means for grinding or pressing the introduced organic waste against the screening grid or against at least one wall which delimits the inner treatment chamber; a first motor, having a drive shaft functionally coupled to the driven shaft; a first transmission system configured to transmit to the driven shaft a rotational movement imparted by the first motor to the drive shaft, the first transmission system comprising at least one first support bearing functionally coupled to the drive shaft. A particular feature of the machine according to the present disclosure consists in the fact that the said first transmission system comprises a second self-aligning roller bearing configured to allow an angular misalignment between a longitudinal axis of the driven shaft and a rotation axis of the drive shaft up to a maximum misalignment value such that a free distal end of the driven shaft may fluctuate heightwise inside the inner chamber for treating organic waste.

MACHINE FOR TREATING ORGANIC WASTE AND RELATED CONTROL METHOD
A waste treatment machine is disclosed, having a safety sensor which generates an alarm signal to stop the motor (7) when the requested torque exceeds a certain threshold, but has a gear with a friction transmission belt (8), i.e. not a toothed belt, between a driving pulley (9) and an idle pulley (10) connected to a shaft (6) for squeezing/ grinding waste. The friction transmission belt is tightened so as to slip when a nominal maximum torque is exceeded. The protection sensor is configured to detect slippage of the friction transmission belt and to provide in such an event an alarm signal to a control unit that interrupts a normal running of the motor. The organic waste treatment machine may be a single-worm screw (4) or double-worm screw squeezing machine, or a grinding machine with hammers (13) pivoted at the periphery of a shaft installed in the inner chamber of the machine. A method of controlling such a machine for treating waste is also disclosed.
