Abstract

The invention relates to a process for preparing a vinylphenolic compound from a prescursor hydroxycinnamic acid, which comprises a step of bioconversion of the hydroxycinnamic acid by placing it in the presence of an enzyme with phenolic acid decarboxylase activity of a microorganism of the Neolentinus lepideus species. A more overall process for producing a vinylphenolic compound comprises, in a prior step, a step of releasing said precursor hydroxycinnamic acid from an oilseed cake.

Abstract

The invention relates to a compound having the following Formula (I), wherein n and m are whole numbers from 0 to 6, selected independently from each other, and R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, and R10, selected independently from each other, and are each a hydrogen atom, an -OH group, or a group selected among: - straight, branched, or cyclic C1-C6 alkyl radicals; - straight, branched, or cyclic C2-C6 alkenyl radicals, optionally interrupted by one or more heteroatoms such as O or N and/or substituted by one or more -OH groups; and - ether oxide radicals having 0 to 6 saturated or unsaturated, straight, branched, or cyclic carbon atoms, optionally interrupted by one or more heteroatoms such as O, Si, or N and/or substituted by one or more -OH groups. In Formula (I), at least one R1 through R5 group is an O-methyl oxirane, at least one R6 through R10 group is an O-methyl oxirane, and at least one of the radicals R2, R4, R7, and R9 is an O-methyl. The invention also relates to a preparation method and to uses of the Formula (I) compound.
