Abstract

An odor-resistant syphon-type floor drain employing a deep water seal comprises: a floor drain main body (1); a water seal hood (2); an outer frame (3); and a water inlet grate (4). The floor drain main body (1) is a housing having an open top portion, and is provided therein with a tube-shaped drainage chamber (5). The water seal hood (2) has an opening directed downwardly to cover over the drainage chamber (5) to form a water seal between the floor drain main body (1) and the drainage chamber (5). The outer frame (3) is disposed above the floor drain main body (1), and the water inlet grate (4) is installed inside the outer frame (3). The floor drain further comprises a syphon member (7) occupying a part of the top central space of the drainage chamber (5). The syphon member (7) has one end connected to an inner side of a top portion of the water seal hood (2) and the other end extending into the drainage chamber (5). A ring-shaped flow-blocking projection (8) is disposed on an inner wall of the drainage chamber (5) and positioned under the syphon member (7). The floor drain can produce a syphon effect rapidly to speed up water drainage.
