Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a preform for producing tube-type bodies (2). An injection-molded preform (1) produced from a thermoplastic material is biaxial orientation-molded in a blow mold to give a container. Molding is carried out by stretching and by adding a pressurized blowing gas. The container (2) is removed from the blow mold as an intermediate product and a bottom zone (42) of the container is cut off. The wall of the preform (1) used for producing tubes is rotationally asymmetrical relative to a preform longitudinal axis so that a varying wall thickness is produced in a circumferential direction.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a device for producing cartridges (41). An injection-molded preform (1) produced from a thermoplastic material is biaxial orientation-molded in a blow mold (4) to give a container (2). Molding is carried out by stretching and by adding a pressurized blowing gas. The container is removed from the blow mold as an intermediate product and a bottom zone (53) of the container is cut off. The cartridge can be closed with a bottom part optionally prior to or after filling.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a device for producing tube-type bodies (41). An injection-molded preform (1) produced from a thermoplastic material and having two opposite mouth sections (56, 65) is biaxial orientation-molded in a blow mold (4) to give a primary body (2). Molding is carried out by stretching and by adding a pressurized blowing gas. Stretching may be carried out using a stretching rod that is introduced into the interior of the preform and pushes against an upper portion of one of the mouth sections. The primary body is removed from the blow mold as an intermediate product and cut through to give two tubular containers. In a final step, the edges of the cut are pressed and welded together. The tubular container can optionally be closed prior to or after filling.

The container as the intermediate product is molded in such a manner that its shape deviates in at least some sections of a sidewall zone between a mouth section and a bottom opposite said mouth section from a cylindrical basic contour.
