Abstract

The suspension component according to the invention comprises a planar supporting grid (G) and a series of flat springs (R1 to R3) of sinuous or crenellated shape, oriented preferably parallel to each other, each of these springs (R1 to R3) being fixed to one of the faces of the grid (G) by means of easily disconnectable fixing components (F1, F2). The fixing means (F1, F2) can be spring clamps in which the wires of the springs (R1 to R3) are engaged by snap action.

Seat the back whereof comprises two lateral uprights (2, 2'), characterized in that it also comprises at least one transversal deformable element (3, 3') extending from one lateral upright (2) to the other (2') and which is coupled to adjustment means comprising an actuating member (9) accessible by the person seated in the seat; and means (11) intended to exert on the transversal deformable element (3, 3') a force capable of deforming it according to the position of said actuating member (9).
