Abstract

An ingrown nail correction device is constituted by: a first mounting element (20) provided with a first engagement section (24) which can be engaged with the rear side or the front side of one side of an ingrown nail in the width direction thereof, a first bent section which is formed by bending a linear elastic material so that the first bent section includes semicircular arc-shaped sections (28A, 28C, 28E, 28G) in the same flat or curved plane, and a first free-end section (26) which is the end of first mounting element (20) which is located on the side opposite the first engagement section; a second mounting element (30) configured in the same manner as the first mounting element (20) and provided with a second engagement section (34), a second bent section (38A, 38C, 38E, 38G), and a second free-end section (36); and a tightening member (40) consisting of a flexible material, the tightening member (40) being looped and pulling and tightening the first mounting element and the second mounting element together while the first engagement section is engaged with the one side (50A) of the nail in the width direction thereof and while the second engagement section is engaged with the other side section (50B) of the nail.

Abstract

Provided is a tool for correcting an ingrown nail that is a deformed nail, which can be easily and personally utilized and is not accompanied by pain. A tool (10) for correcting an ingrown nail comprises a center section (12) which is produced from a linear elastic material bent into a wave shape and is configured so that the wave shape is located in a free state within a flat surface or a curved surface flatter than a curved surface along a nail plate with which the center section comes into contact, U-shaped sections (14) via which both ends of the center section (12) are connected to locking sections and which come into contact with a nail from the front and back thereof, and the locking sections (16) for being locked to both sides in the width direction and/or a tip of the nail from the back surface, wherein the linear elastic member is formed by a superelastic alloy, and the locking section (16) is locked by bringing the end surface of the linear elastic material into contact with the back surface of the nail.
