Abstract
A vehicular lead storage battery according to the present invention includes a battery container provided with at least one cell chamber; and a cover plate 1 for covering an upper opening of the battery container. A guide path 8 for discharging gases within a cell chamber to the outside is formed in the cover plate 1. The guide path 8 includes a first guide portion 9B for horizontally guiding gases from the cell chamber; a second guide portion 9C connected to the first guide portion 9B to downwardly guide the gases from the first guide portion 9B; and a third guide portion 10A connected to the second guide portion 9C to horizontally guide the gases from the second guide portion 9C and discharge the gases from an exhaust vent 4K formed in the cover plate 1 to the outside. A corner portion 9K is formed by the first guide portion 9B and the second guide portion 9C, and a corner portion 10K is formed by the second guide portion 9C and the third guide portion 10A. The guide path 8 is formed so that the angle .theta. of a straight line 1 having internal contact with the two corner portions 9K and 10K from a horizontal line is greater than the maximum angle of inclination at which the inclined angle of a vehicle is maximum during driving on a sloping ground.

Abstract
Provided are: a lid for a storage battery, configured so that an external lead wire can be connected without requiring the insertion of a nut into the cavity of a terminal and so that the nut is prevented from dropping; a method for injection-molding the lid; a storage battery provided with the lid; and a terminal section for a storage battery. Provided is a lid for a storage battery, consisting of a synthetic resin and having insert-molded thereon a terminal section (8) for a storage battery, the terminal section (8) comprising: a terminal (4) which has a cavity; a bushing (6); and a conduction section (7) which connects the terminal (4) and the bushing (6). Also provided is a storage battery provided with the lid. In the lid and the storage battery, an anchor section (4T) is provided in a protruding manner to the terminal (4) in the portion of the bottom section (4F) thereof which excludes at least the center of the bottom section (4F), and a nut is inserted in and affixed to the cavity section of the terminal. Also, in the terminal section for a storage battery, an anchor section (4T) is provided in a protruding manner to the terminal (4) in the portion of the bottom section (4F) thereof which excludes at least the center of the bottom section (4F) (for example, a U-shaped anchor section (4T) is caused to protrude with a U-shaped connection section (4G) therebetween).

Abstract
Disclosed are: a storage battery terminal section which can have external lead lines attached at the same time to two or more areas; a terminal nut for the storage battery terminal section; a storage battery cover provided with the storage battery terminal section; and a storage battery. The storage battery terminal section (8) is configured of a terminal (4) having a hollow section wherein the nut is to be inserted, a bushing (6), and a conductive section (7) which connects together the terminal and the bushing. The terminal (4) has a cuboidal shape, and the through holes (4K1, 4K2) of the terminal (4) are formed at least at two areas in the rectangular upper plate section and the rectangular front plate section, said two areas being at the positions where, in the case wherein the nut is inserted into the hollow section in the terminal (4), the nut screw holes connected to the through holes (4K1, 4K2) of the terminal (4) do not intersect each other. The terminal nut is to be inserted into the hollow section in the terminal (4) of the storage battery terminal section (8), and the storage battery cover and the storage battery are provided with the storage battery terminal section (8).

Abstract
There is provided a storage battery, including: a container having at least one cell chamber; a lid body (2) made of synthetic resin for covering a top opening of the container, the lid body having on a top surface a recessed portion that is recessed downward, the lid body having positive and negative electrode terminals disposed close to one side of the lid body and respectively at both end portions of said one side in a longitudinal direction, wherein the positive and negative electrode terminals (4) respectively have lower portions embedded in the lid body and upper portions projecting from the lid body; and an auxiliary lid (9) for closing the recessed portion. Conventional production of the storage battery has problems, for example, in that: when embedding a portion of a terminal to a lid body by insert molding, difference in shrinkage is caused between a surface in which a terminal body is embedded and a surface on which the terminal body is exposed, which results in difficulty in fitting the lid body to the container. The present invention is intended to solve this problem, for example, by providing the lid body of the storage battery with projections (6T, 7T), each at a location at which the upper portion of each of the terminals projects, at a location proximate to the location at which the upper portion of each of the terminals 4 projects, or at each of these locations.
