The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, ameliorating or treating obesity or metabolic diseases, comprising, as an active ingredient, a complex extract from a peach blossom and a lotus leaf or a fraction thereof, and a use thereof and a therapeutic method thereof. The complex extract from the peach blossom and the lotus leaf or the fraction thereof according to the present invention has an excellent efficacy against obesity or metabolic diseases and is derived from natural products and has no side effects. Therefore, the complex extract or the fraction thereof can be utilized variously as a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating metabolic diseases, a food composition for preventing or ameliorating obesity or metabolic diseases or a medicine, a use for manufacturing medicines or a therapeutic method.
