Abstract

The invention provides for, among other things, improved strength/weight ratio in a sidewall, (30) panel, or similar structure. The invention can be used in many applications, including in multi-part and/or collapsible or other containers, components of such containers (including for example drop doors, lids, pallets, bases, and other components, load bearing or other structural components, barriers, walls, or similar apparatus. The sidewall/panel (30) includes a structural support network (35) having inner (40) and outer surfaces (45) positioned offset from each other and an interconnecting support frame (50) positioned therebetween. In a preferred embodiment, the support frame (50) includes generally planar inner/outer offset (40, 45) or alternating surfaces, and at least one geometric shaped support member (55).
