Abstract

The invention relates to a device (10) for machining a stationary workpiece (20), comprising a cylindrical milling head (11), which is supported such that the milling head can be rotated about the longitudinal axis (ZH) thereof and can be moved linearly along said longitudinal axis (ZH), and comprising a milling tool, which is arranged eccentrically on said milling head (11) and rotatably supported about a rotational axis (ZT), for machining the workpiece (20) at a working point (WP) on the circumference of the tool that has the shortest distance to the longitudinal axis (ZH) of the milling head at a particular rotational position of the milling head (11). The tool is oriented in such a way that in each rotational position of the milling head (11), the rotational axis (ZT) of the tool is tilted from a direction of the longitudinal axis (ZH) at a predetermined first angle (Ax) about a first axis (X), which extends in the radial direction of the tool through said working point (WP).
