Abstract

A dough preparing machine (10) operable to mix and divide dough so as to form a plurality of individual loaves of bread in a relatively com¬ pact space is provided. The dough preparing machine (10) includes a compressing and dividing device (14), a bowl (3), a pivotable mix¬ ing arm (34), a rounder (20), and a sheeter molder (24). The dough preparing machine (10) further includes a transfer device (26) having a first arm (92) and an opposable gripper (28) operable to handle the rounded individual balls of dough (30). The compressing and dividing device (14) configured to press the dough uniformly within the bowl (32), and divide the compressed dough into individual balls of dough (30).
