Abstract
A valve lock according to the present invention comprises: a body installed on a valve and having two key holes for inserting two keys therein; a holder mounted on the body to transmit an operating force of a user to the valve; a stopper installed at the body to prevent the holder from rotating at an angle larger than a predetermined angle; and a key box which is disposed in the body, and which moves by the interaction with the keys to engage/disengage with/from the holder. The holder includes: a stopper groove for selectively causing mutual interference with the stopper during rotation; and a key groove for causing mutual interference with the key box. The key box includes a rotor which operates by engaging with the keys; a cam fixed at the rotor to rotate together with the rotor during the operation of the rotor; and an actuating block which operates in mutual interference with the cam, and which is inserted into or escapes from the key groove of the holder in accordance with the position of the cam to selectively cause mutual interference with the holder. The actuating block includes an inner block which selectively moves during the rotation of the cam; an outer block which moves by means of the inner block; a first elastic member which provides elastic force to the inner block to return the inner block to the original position when external force applied by the cam is removed; and a second elastic member which provides elastic force to the outer block to return the outer block to the original position when external force applied by the cam is removed. The combination of the two keys and the key box not only enables a user to select whether to rotate or to fix the holder, but also enables the user to select the rotation direction of the holder.

Abstract
A valve lock according to the present invention comprises: a body installed on a valve and having key holes for inserting keys; a holder mounted on the body to rotate by means of a user's operating force; a key box disposed in the body and operating by interaction with the key; and a gear assembly interposed between the holder and key box which engages with the holder during rotation of the holder for engaging / disengaging the key box according to the position of the holder. The gear assembly includes: a driving rotary gear which rotates in mutual interference with the holder; 1st and 2nd slave rotary gears engaged with the driving rotary gear; 1st and 2nd locking blocks mounted on the 1st and 2nd slave rotary gears, respectively, to selectively rotate relative to each other and to engage/disengage the key box with the rotation angle; and fastening keys for fastening the1st and 2nd locking blocks to the1st and 2nd slave rotary gears, respectively. The key box includes: a rotor which engages with the keys; a cam fixed at the rotor to rotate therewith; an actuating block operating in mutual interference with the cam, and inserted into or escapes from the holder according to position of the cam to selectively cause mutual interference with the holder; and a stopper blade mounted on the rotor to cause mutual interference with the gear assembly. The combination of the keys, the key box, and the gear assembly locks and unlocks the rotation of the holder, and the maximum rotation position of the holder in one direction and the maximum rotation position of the holder in the other direction are set via the plurality of keys, thereby setting maximum open and close position of the valve.
