Abstract

The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for whitening containing an Alpinia officinarum Hance extract as an active ingredient, and a preparation method therefor. More specifically, upon finding ingredients having whitening activity in Alpinia officinarum Hance, a natural product, and establishing optimal extraction conditions, the present invention provides a cosmetic which can be used as a whitening cosmetic material. To this end, the present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for whitening containing an Alpinia officinarum Hance extract as an active ingredient, wherein it is preferable that the cosmetic composition is obtained by immersing 50 g to 150 g of Alpinia officinarum Hance powder in 2,000 ml of purified water, heating same, and then filtering same.
