Abstract

The invention relates to a power-split transmission having at least one continuously variable mechanical variator (4). To achieve the power split, the variator (4) according to the invention comprises at least three shafts (1, 2, 3), two of the three shafts (1, 2, 3) being coupled via at least one transmission stage (5) at the input end or the output end. The invention also relates to a method for optimizing the efficiency of and/or the range of gear ratios in a power-split transmission.
