Abstract

The invention "Use of thermophosphate as a slow-release fertilizer coating" comprises a group of chemical components, especially magnesium thermophosphate or potassium thermophosphate, which, when applied to water-soluble fertilizers, forms a 100% fertilizer protective layer that allows slow release of the encapsulated water-soluble fertilizer. The fertilizer coating composition with slow release fertilizer coating comprises in % by weight: a) 50-99% by weight fertilizer to be coated; b) 0.1-10% by weight pregelatinized starch; c) 1-50% by weight magnesium and/or potassium thermophosphate; d) 1-30% by weight sulphuric acid; e) 1-30% by weight phosphoric acid, in a concentration of 20-85%; f) 0-5% bentonite; g) 0-50% powdered calcined potassium phonolite or verdigris.
