Abstract

The present invention refers to a method of chamfering panels with a core encased in a liner and a device for chamfering panels with a core encased in a liner. In the method according to the invention the previously cut panel (1) is cut on the side by a disk (5), mounted at an angle (alpha), to avoid damage to outer liner layers, and then an adhesive is introduced into the longitudinal slit being cut at an angle, and the slit is pressed over the width until both slit areas are joined, forming a permanent one-sided longitudinal surface indentation having a width close to the cut width, and a depth close to the thickness of the slit. The device according to the invention is provided with a panel guide (1) with guiding rolls (2) and a locking slit (3) having an adjustable width, and a rotary cutting disk (5), mounted at an angle (alpha) and driven, advantageously by a flexible shaft (6), with adjustable inclination at an angle (alpha) and, advantageously with adjustable rotation speed, a slit opening tool and an adhesive dispenser and an assembly of interconnected pinch rolls of adjustable pressure.
