Abstract

A framing assembly is disclosed including an acoustic framing arrangement and a plurality of tracks. The acoustic framing arrangement interconnects a top track with a bottom track. The acoustic framing arrangement includes a pair of studs positioned in back-to-back configuration and mechanically joined using a connector. The connector includes a vertical portion that extends between the pair of studs and a base portion that connects to the tracks. When assembled, the acoustic framing arrangement creates space between the pair of studs and positions the studs in an offset configuration to improve wall stud acoustic performance.

Abstract

A framing system includes a first connection assembly that engages with a substrate. The first connection assembly includes a first connector and a track. At least one spring flange defined by the first connector engages with a fastener positioned along the substrate to maintain the first connection assembly in a fixed position relative to the substrate and to interconnect the substrate with the track. The framing system further includes a second connection assembly defining a second connector engaged to a stud. The second connection assembly engages with the first connection assembly to interconnect the stud with the track.

Abstract

A construction visualization device generates a digital model of a structure for construction in a physical space. Notably, the digital model includes at least one model marker and the physical space includes at least one physical marker. The device also determines a viewing orientation of the digital model for display relative to the physical space based on the at least one model marker and the at least one physical marker. In addition, the device identifies a model position of a model part that corresponds to a physical position of a physical part of the structure, and displays at least a portion of the digital model based on the viewing orientation to indicate the model position of the model part.

Abstract

A rapid interior wall layout system can include an anchor and clasp. The anchor can have a lower portion that fits within a drywall track opening, an upper portion having an external notch, and a central opening that extends through the lower and upper portions to receive a fastener that extends through the anchor to hold the anchor in place against an existing building structure. The clasp can include a base, arms pivotally coupled to the base, tabs that extend inward from the arms, and flanges that extend from the base and arms. The clasp tabs can lock onto the external notch during installation to hold the drywall track in place against the anchor. The system can also include the drywall track itself, a second anchor for a second opening in the drywall track and a second clasp to hold the drywall track in place against the second anchor.

Abstract

A framing assembly is disclosed including a first connector and a second connector. The first connector includes a body defining an edge portion. The second connector includes a base and a flange in communication with the base. To interconnect framing components of the framing assembly, the second connector is engaged with the first connector such that an engagement surface of the flange abuts the edge portion of the first connector restricting movement of the second connector relative to the first connector.
