Abstract

The invention refers to a fibrous sheet having a basis weight of between 20 and 1000 g/m2 that disintegrates in water, comprising 10% to 70% starch on the basis of the total weight of the dry fibrous sheet, the disintegration time in water, measured in accordance with the NF Q34-020 standard applied to a specimen of the sheet of 9 x 8 cm2, is less than 50 seconds, preferably less than 35 seconds, and more particularly less than 15 seconds, of which the loss of strength measured in accordance with the table test as reported in the specification corresponds to the loss of strength of a specimen of said sheet forming an angle of at least 85°, preferably between 88° and 90°, after having being wetted with water for a duration of 6 seconds and/or the residual wet strength of which relative to its dry strength, as measured according to the ring crush test described in the specification, is less than 1%. Abstract

The invention relates to a core intended to support a reel of paper, particularly toilet paper, said core being formed by winding at least one web of cellulose wadding. The core is characterized in that it is formed by winding at least one web of cellulose wadding comprising at least 0.51 g of water-soluble material per gram of cellulose wadding, the water-soluble material being designed to make the web of cellulose wadding more rigid and easier to disintegrate. Thus configured, the invention is able to provide a core that has both mechanical strength fit for the intended purpose and is far easier to disintegrate than a core made of cardboard such that it can be disposed of directly in the toilet bowl without the risk of blocking the waste pipe.

Abstract

The invention relates to the use of a cleaning and/or care composition for impregnating a stack of absorbent substrates. The cleaning and/or care composition has a relatively high apparent viscosity, while still having a rheological behaviour of the shear-thinning and thixotropic type, and comprises at least one cleaning and/or care compound. Thus, during impregnation under stress, especially under pressure and with prior stirring, the composition shear-thins sufficiently to allow it to diffuse rapidly and uniformly into stacked substrates.

Abstract

The invention relates to a dispenser for roll-type products comprising: a first inner space (1) for containing a first roll; a first slot-shaped opening (10) parallel to the XX' axis of the first roll stored (held) in the first inner space (1); at least one second inner space (2) for storing a second roll having an axis YY' parallel to that of the first roll; characterised in that it further comprises a second opening (11) having a slot parallel to the axis of the second roll for outputting one end of the second roll, wherein said slot (110) has a length that is shorter than the width of the second roll in order to slow down the unwinding of said roll.

Abstract

The invention relates to a process for manufacturing an absorbent sheet comprising at least two plies of cellulose wadding, consisting in combining said plies under pressure by passing between two steel cylindrical components, the first (1) being smooth on the outside and the second (2) being equipped with raised components on the outside and the hardness of the first cylindrical component being lower than that of the second cylindrical component. According to the invention, the first cylindrical component (1) has a treated hardened surface layer (11) and a deformable underlayer (12); the second cylindrical component has a hardened outer surface, and the sheet, when it passes between the two cylindrical components (1, 2), is compressed at a specific pressure between 40 and 250 N/mm2. Another subject of the invention is an assembly of steel cylindrical components (1, 2) intended for the manufacture of multiply absorbent sheets.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a process for combining, without adhesive and by pressure marking, at least two plies (5, 6) based on cellulose wadding, characterized in that it consists in embossing, with an embossing pattern, at least a first ply (5) by passing between a first roll (2) and a roll (4) covered with rubber on the outside, then in combining at least a second ply (6) with said first ply (5) by making said plies (5, 6) pass between a first engraved steel roll (2) of axis CC and at least a first series of small externally smooth coaxial rolls (1) of axis XX', then between said first roll (2) and a second series of small externally smooth coaxial rolls (3) of axes YY', the CC, XX' and YY' axes being horizontal and parallel. The invention moreover covers the installation intended to implement said process.

Abstract

The invention relates to an approximately rectangular, separable multi-ply absorbent sheet based on cellulose wadding that includes at least three plies and that has a coefficient KNOVE = RSM X RST X A X G X Exp (12 x (E + Ep)) x (1/Exp (Sp)) > 75 000 where; RST = strength across the width of the sheet in N/m; RSM = strength along the length of the sheet in N/m; G = grammage of the sheet in kg/m2; E = thickness of the sheet in mm; Sp = flexibility of the sheet in N; A = absorption of the sheet in kg/m2 Ep = average thickness of one ply of the sheet in mm, where EP is greater than 0.115 mm. The invention also relates to the method of manufacturing such a sheet, and rolls composed of said sheets.

Abstract

The present invention relates to an absorbent paper sheet for sanitary or household use comprising two layers of cellulose fibre, the first layer being embossed with relief patterns consisting at least partly of first projections pointing towards the interior of the sheet, and the second layer not being embossed and being joined to the first layer by bonding of the first projections. The sheet is characterized in that some of the first projections are arranged in a simple line and in that the second layer is a layer of cellulose fibre of the type dried by blow-through drying, with a thickness of between 0.2 and 0.5 mm and a grammage of between 15 and 45 g/m2. The invention applies particularly to the manufacture of rolls from the above sheet.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for preparing paper pulp from recycled paper containing contaminants characterized in that it comprises a first step of agitating the paper in the presence of water in order to obtain a mixture of fibres and contaminants in suspension, a second step of coarsely sieving said mixture in order to separate the coarse contaminants from the rest of the suspension, a third step of fine sieving in order to separate the fine contaminants from the coarsely-sieved suspension and a fourth step of washing said coarse and fine contaminants in order to separate the reusable fibrous materials from the rest of the non-reusable contaminants. In particular, the invention aims to provide a method for preparing paper pulp that is capable of producing a good quality paper pulp from highly-contaminated recycled paper, especially having a contaminant level in the dry state that is greater than or equal to 15% by weight.

Abstract

The inventive dispenser is a paper dispenser, particularly for dispensing toilet paper, comprising a housing (5) for housing a roll (3) of paper, the housing (5) having a front side (8) with a dispensing opening (13) via which the paper is unwound sheet by sheet, and comprising means (11) for locking the front side (8) to the housing (5). This dispenser is characterized by virtue of the fact that the front side (8) comprises a hatch (16) for accessing the interior of the housing (5) via which the free end (4) of the roll (3) can be removed. A dispenser of this type permits the user to solve problems of paper blocking inside the housing (5) without, however, being able to steal the roll (3) or, in any event, while leaving it in its original shape so that it can still be used.
