Abstract

The invention relates to a jewellery element with a metallic body and with at least one gemstone, and to a method for producing a jewellery element with a metallic body and with at least one gemstone. According to the invention, the gemstone is in part cast into the metal of the jewellery element, wherein a first retainer element and a second retainer element are formed which bear with their contact faces directly on the gemstone. This makes it possible to use just a few retainer elements and at the same time provide a high degree of strength of the connection of the gemstone to the metallic body of the jewellery element, thereby permitting a particular arrangement and/or a particularly extensive freely visible surface of the gemstone on the jewellery element.
