Abstract

The invention relates to an installation element (1) for use in cooling technology, in water treatment, or in mass transfer. The installation element (1) is self-supporting and is composed of a plurality of plies (10), which are at least partially spatially structured and which are connected to each other. Adjacent plies (10) form flow paths (14) for a liquid and/or for a gaseous medium between said adjacent plies. The installation element (1) according to the invention is characterized in that at least some of the plies (10) are composed of an at least three-layer coextruded plastic film, that a center layer (11) of the three-layer plastic film is a mechanically supporting plastic layer, and that the two outer layers (12, 13) of the three-layer plastic film either are composed of a plastic having application-specific properties or are plastic layers each having at least one additive, which is added to the plastic and which gives application-specific properties to the outer layers. The invention further relates to a method for producing such an installation element (1).

Abstract

A contact body for an evaporation humidifier or material exchanger, is formed of corrugated material layers. The novel contact body has material layers which are a thermoplastic plastic and are interconnected by welding and/or bonding and or a positive fit. The corrugation axes at two longitudinal edges of each material layer form a corrugation axis section that runs approximately in an orthogonal direction in relation to the respective longitudinal edge and the axes between the corrugation axis sections have oblique regions that run in at least two different directions with at least one change of direction in between, in such a way that in each material layer the corrugation axes change direction at least three times. The corrugation axes in a first oblique area lie at an angle α1 to the neighboring longitudinal edge and in a second oblique area lie at an angle α2 to the other longitudinal edge. The angles α1 and α2 are between 30° and 60°. The maximum height of the corrugated material layers is 12 mm.

Abstract

A profiled strip for installing in honeycomb separating assemblies and a honeycomb separating assembly composed of a plurality of profiled strips are described. The profiled strip has two long base sides (2) and two connection sides (3). It is distinguished by the fact that a single groove connection section (5) is respectively arranged at the free ends of the connection sides (3) and a single tongue connection section (4) is respectively arranged at the ends of the base sides that abut the connection sides, or vice versa. In this way, corresponding separating assemblies can be assembled very simply.

Abstract

The invention relates to an installation element (1) of an installed packing for material and/or heat exchange between gases and liquids, having pegs (2) and recesses (3) for engaging with at least one further identical installation element (1). In order to make the engagement easier, particularly of installation elements (1) having greater material thickness, the recesses (3) each are associated with ring gap segments (6).

Abstract

The present invention relates to a filling body, comprising a plurality of plastic foils, which are undulated, wherein a plastic foil has a plurality of connecting elements, by means of which a plastic foil can be connected to other plastic foils via a plurality of form-fitting connections. The filling body is configured such that two plastic foils are connected to a plastic foil pair, and plastic foil pairs are connected to other plastic foil pairs. According to the present invention, the connecting elements are positioned on the plastic foils such that upon joining two plastic foils to a plastic foil pair, the still unconnected connecting elements can be joined into connecting element pairs on the sides of the two plastic foils opposite of each other, wherein these connecting element pairs are distributed across the entire surface of the two foils. In subsequent joining processes of two plastic foil pairs to each other, the still unconnected connecting elements can be joined into connecting element pairs on the sides of the two plastic foil pairs opposite of each other, wherein these connecting element pairs are located exclusively in the vicinity of the edges of the two plastic foil pairs. This ensures that during the successive configuration of the filling body from the individual plastic foils substantially all connecting elements located on the plastic foils can be connected in pairs into form-fitting connections.
