Abstract
The present invention provides a rock bolt comprising first and second portions (11, 12), wherein the first portion comprises an end (13) adapted for expansion to provide a point anchor. The second portion comprises an inner portion (35) and an outer portion (33) wherein the outer portion is configured for engagement with the end of the first portion to cause expansion thereof. The inner portion is configured for engagement with the outer portion to cause expansion thereof, whereby expansion of the outer portion causes further expansion of the end of the first portion.

Abstract
The present invention provides a yielding rock bolt (10) comprising a tendon in the form of a steel shaft (12) and an anchor member (14), having a longitudinal bore, mounted on the tendon. The anchor member presents a compression zone (50) to the tendon about the longitudinal bore whereby the tendon, upon being moved through the anchor member towards the compression zone, is caused to undergo plastic deformation at the compression zone to reduce in diameter and increase in length, The compression zone is defined by an inclined face (51) provided on the anchor member about the longitudinal bore.

Abstract
The present invention provides a rock bolt (14) comprising a cable (21) formed from multiple wound strands. The rock bolt also comprises a sleeve (16) surrounding the cable along at least portions of the cable, and multiple collars (17) spaced along the sleeve. Abstract
A ground support apparatus for use in supporting a rock body comprising an elongated support member, an elongated collar and a localised anchor means. The localised anchor means is adapted to substantially restrain the apparatus within a borehole formed within the rock body. The elongated collar comprises a lumen that receives the elongated support member and, additionally, comprises a flange assembly that, at least in part, substantially abuts a rock face of the rock body. In use, a movement of the rock body causes the elongated collar to travel, at least in part, along the elongated support member thereby permitting the apparatus to yield and govern the rock body movement.

Abstract
The present invention relates to a rock bolt 10 for use in stabilising a rock face. The rock bolt 10 comprises a body 12 having a plurality of elongate lobes 22 spaced apart by substantially resilient channel means. The rock bolt 10 is further configured to receive expansion means for urging the lobes 22 outwardly to thereby expand the rock bolt 10 for improving a communication with a bore hole in the rock face. Following expansion the expansion means may be removable, the expansion means can comprise any suitably sized hollow or solid bar expansion member. The configuration of the present invention also enables, subsequent to an initial expansion, the resilient channel means to provide a gripping force on any suitably sized member inserted into the internal space. This feature of the rock bolt 10 allows for a mesh plate having an elongate portion to be securely and removably fitted to the rock bolt 10 after the rock bolt has been expanded.
