Abstract

The invention relates to a method for selectively separating the constituents of a mixture of organic synthetic materials that are in fragmented form, the method comprising at least one step of separating the constituents by difference in density in an aqueous suspension (100) of solid pulverulent particles contained in a separation tank (2), the aqueous suspension (100) being subjected to sequential stirring by discontinuous upward external recirculation by means of a sampling pump (10) having an inlet diameter identical to the outlet diameter, the recirculation speed being defined in order to obtain a rate of stirring of the aqueous suspension (100) within the tank of between 25 m3/h and 35 m3/h, the sequential stirring comprising sequences of stirring for a determined operating time of the sampling pump (10), interspersed with a stoppage time of the pump, which stoppage time is greater than the operating time of the pump.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and equipment for selectively sorting different types of ground material containing plastic as well as impurities consisting of elastomers or rubbers. The equipment includes at least one tank (3) containing a chemical agent capable of selectively modifying the bulk density of the elastomers and rubbers without denaturing thermoplastics being recovered, and a screen (5) enabling the solid materials to be drained off and the chemical agent to be recovered from the contents of said tank (3).

Abstract

The invention relates to a process for the simultaneous preconcentration and preselection of at least one group of used polymer materials of various compositions, as a mixture with one another and with contaminant materials, originating from the destruction, by grinding, of durable consumer goods that have reached the end of life, which can be recycled in the fields of plastics processing. This process is characterized in that it includes, in order, a) a step of separation in a hydraulic medium, the density of which is adjusted to a value ds between 1.100 and 1.900, b) a step of separation of the supernatant fraction from a), a step of grinding c) the supernatant fraction from b), then a step d) of mechanical separation of the fraction originating from c) followed by a wetting step e) and a final step f) delivering preconcentrated and preselected used synthetic polymer materials.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for the continuous optoelectronic treatment of flows of used organic synthesis materials, recyclable in the field of plastic processing, in a fragmented form of particles rendered almost homogeneous in the composition thereof but heterogeneous in colour. According to said method, coloured particles in the mass thereof of said materials, especially those coloured by cadmium compounds, are sorted and eliminated from said homogeneous flows, in continuous movement. The method is characterised in that it comprises the transformation of a flow of bulk particles into a monolayer flow, the free-falling movement of said monolayer flow forming a curtain between at least two cameras that determine the temporal and spatial coordinates of each coloured particle and the real-time transmission thereof, by software and algorithms, to means for eliminating said coloured particles.
