Examples herein include methods, systems, and computer program products for transparently determining the accuracy of image analysis and processing software where program code executing on a processor(s) determines that an image has been selected in a software of interest and is displayed in a viewer of the software of interest. The program code automatically launches a graphical user interface (window), on the screen, displayed contemporaneously with the viewer. The program code automatically annotates a region of the image in the window using an annotation defined by a specification. The program code calculates (using instructions from the specification) the first set of the values. The program code obtains a second set of the one or more values, calculated by the software, based on the annotation; The program code compares the value sets to identify discrepancies. The program code determines a reason for each discrepancy and displays the reason in the window.

Abstract

A system and method for performing image scrolling are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system for image scrolling organizes each set of related images as a series object. The system writes selected images from one of the series objects, from the image cache to the frame buffer, for image scrolling on a display. A garbage collection module performs garbage collection in the image cache. The garbage collection module operates on memory space where a series object is released or can be moved, for reclaiming memory. The image scrolling is smoother than if the garbage collection module were to track and operate on each image as an object.

Abstract

A mobile patient positioning stand having vertical rails allowing a shield to be manually moved up and down to different heights based on the height of anatomy of the patient desired to be imaged. The shield may be positioned at a shield height for a certain height of anatomy of a patient so that markers on the shield identify multiple image areas within the total image area. After the shield is positioned, an image detector and a source of radiation may be vertically positioned to provide images at the multiple image areas. Vertical positioning of the detector may be determined by the markers or by equal height detector alignment markers on the shield. The multiple image areas may be connected by aligning stitching markers in the images, that may be on the shield. This aligning may be done by an automated computer software process that recognizes the stitching markers.

Abstract
