Abstract

A valve for use in a cracking process includes an erosion protection device. The erosion protection device includes at least one baffle projector beyond a contour of an inner wall of the closure part. The closure part is positioned between a first housing part and a second housing part. The expansion protection device minimizes the direct impact on the sealing surface and sealing seats of the value.

Abstract

The invention relates to a valve 10 having a housing 12 comprising a first housing part 14 having an inner wall 18, a second housing part 16 having an inner wall 20 and a closing part 30, moveably arranged between first housing part 14 and second housing part 16, having an inner wall 46, 48. In an opening position of valve 10, an outlet opening 26 of first housing part 14 is arranged relative to an inlet opening 38 of closing part 30 and an outlet opening 39 of closing part 30 is arranged relative to an inlet opening 24 of second housing part 16. According to the invention, valve 10 comprises an erosion protection device 70, wherein the erosion protection device 70 comprises at least one baffle plate 72 protruding beyond a contour of inner wall 46, 48 of closing part 30, inner wall 18 of first housing part 14 and/or inner wall 20 of second housing part 16.
