Abstract

The invention relates to a series (100) of devices for incrementally modifying the position of the teeth in a person (P), said series comprising at least two devices (10), the devices (10) each comprising at least one jaw device (11, 12), the at least one jaw device (11, 12) being designed in such a way that receiving regions of the jaw device (11, 12) can be placed on a dental arch of the upper jaw (OK, 5) or of the lower jaw (UK, 4) of the person (P), the devices (10) being designed such that, when worn according to a predefined order of said devices (10), they incrementally progressively modify the position of the teeth owing to mechanical interaction between the device and at least one tooth element. The at least one jaw device (11, 12) of the first device (10.1, 10.2) may carry, on its outer side, a first veneering element (N.I.1.2, N.IV.1.2) as a partial region of the first device (10.1, 10.2). The at least one jaw device (11, 12) of the second device (10. n) may carry, on its outer side, a second veneering element (N.I.1.n, N.IV.1.n) as a partial region of the second device (10). The first veneering element (N.I.1.2, N.IV.1.2) may be located at the same position as the second veneering element (N.I.1.n, N.IV.1.n) according to a dental notation. A receiving region of the first veneering element (N.I.1.2, N.IV.1.2) may have a different design and/or position than a receiving element of the second veneering element (N.I.1.n, N.IV.1.n), this difference being capable of causing the incremental displacement of the tooth element, and a front wall thickness of the second veneering element (N.I.1.n, N.IV.1.n) differing from a front wall thickness of the first veneering element (N.I.1.2, N.IV.1.2).

Abstract

The invention relates to a system for capturing the relative movement of body parts, the system having at least two subsystems, i.e. a first subsystem and a second subsystem. The first subsystem is designed to be attached to a first body part, for example, the maxilla, or to an area of the body that is rigidly connected to the maxilla, such as the skull, and the second subsystem is designed to be attached to a second body part, for example, the mandible, and the first body part and the second body part are movable relative to one another. The system comprises a movement sensor system and a calibration sensor system. The movement sensor system is designed to capture the relative movement or relative positions of the first body part and the second body part across a movement range, for example, by generating data from which the movement trajectory or course of the relative movement of the first body part and the second body part can be obtained or is obtained. The calibration sensor system is designed to determine the relative position of the first body part relative to the second body part if (for example, only if and/or every time) the first body part and the second body part are arranged relative to one another, preferably close to one another, in a calibration region.

Abstract

The present invention provides an optical stereo device with an autofocus feature as well as a corresponding autofocus method for optical stereo devices. The optical stereo device comprises imaging means configured to provide a stereo image of an object of interest by means of combining a right eye image and a left eye image and a control unit operatively connected to the imaging means and configured to receive the right eye image and the left eye image and to adjust the focus position of the imaging means. The control unit is further configured to: (i) identify a feature in the right eye image and identify the same feature in the left eye image; (ii) determine the direction and/or the magnitude of a displacement vector defined by the displacement of the feature identified in the right eye image relative to the same feature identified in the left eye image; and (iii) to adjust the focus position relative to the identified feature on the basis of the direction and/or the magnitude of the displacement vector. According to preferred embodiments, the imaging means comprise a first and a second imaging unit and the control unit is further configured to adjust the focus position by increasing the focus position in case the displacement of the identified feature is a shift to the right or decreasing the focus position in case the displacement is a shift to the left.
