Abstract

A device adapted for examining and detecting foreign objects in a flat plate-shaped material comprises a transport device for transporting a flat plate-shaped material to be examined through the device in a transport direction. A dryer (100), comprising a dryer chamber (101) coupled to a closed loop gas-circulating system for circulating gas through the dryer chamber (101); wherein the closed loop gas-circulating system recirculates the gas and comprises: a compressor (113) coupled to receive return gas from the dryer chamber (101) and to compress the return gas to provide compressed gas; a separator (109) sitting in the gas-circulating system for draining condensate from the gas; and a gas discharger (103; 104) coupled to receive compressed gas from the compressor (113) and to discharge the compressed gas through a discharger exit (118). The separator sits in the closed loop gas-circulating system downstream of the compressor to receive compressed gas and upstream of the gas discharger (103;104). Thereby drying efficacy is improved and is advantageous at relatively low drying temperatures such as below 40 degrees Celsius. There is also provided a door for a dryer, a method of operating a dryer and a method of drying, such as a method of drying pharmaceutical substances, compounds, ingredients or products.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of joining a metal part 1 and a non-liquid polymer part 2. The first step of the method is to attach a primer 4 to a metal surface 3 of the metal part 1. The primer 4 is then polymerized so that the metal surface 3 is at least partly covered with surface immobilized polymer brushes 5. Then the metal surface 3 with the polymer brushes 5 is brought into contact with a polymer surface of the polymer part 2, so that an interface is obtained comprising the metal surface 3, the primer 4, the polymer brushes 5 and the polymer surface. Finally, the interface is heated by use of laser welding until the polymer brushes 5 and a part of the polymer part 2 melt or soften and mix to such an extent that the metal part 1 and the polymer part 2 remain joined after cooling. The welding may e.g. be performed so that so that welding seams are obtained along equidistant lines across the surface.

The use of steam as a means for cleaning and/or disinfection enables a very efficient cleaning and/or disinfection but also gives an easy and efficient way of reaching many or even substantially all parts of the outer and/or inner surface area regardless of curvature, folds, shape, etc. The steam may also have a velocity that allows for kinetic cleaning of the outer and/or inner surface (101'). In this way, unwanted carcass contamination remnants or other unwanted matter or particles on the outer and/or inner surface areas are efficiently removed.

In this way, a high sound intensity and power are obtained that efficiently enhances a gas-phase reaction in the plasma, which enhances the plasma process, e.g. enabling more efficient ozone or hydrogen generation using plasma in relation to reaction speed and/or obtained concentration of the generated compound. Other proccesses including plasma like exhaust gas cleaning, pollution control, odor removal, fuel conversion, sterilization, and oxidation can also be enhanced.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for providing a density profile of a plate-shaped body by means of an X-ray radiation source (1), the radiation of which is directed towards the plate-shaped body (5) and scattered therefrom, the radiation scattered by the plate material from a specific depth of the plate-shaped body being taken as a measurement of the density at the respective depth. The method is characterised in that the radiation scattered by the plate material at different depths is observed through a narrow slot (6), which is placed substantially perpendicular to the radiation direction, utilizing that there is an unambiguous relation between the scattering angle and depth, said scattered radiation being registered by means of an array of closely abutting detector elements for determining the density profile. An advantage of this method is that it is fast and does not require movable parts. Another advantage is that the complete depth profile is measured at the same time, particularly that the top side and the bottom side of the plate-shaped material are identified at the same time, whereby measuring series may be corrected correctly irrespective of the movements of the plate between sub measurements.
