Abstract

An apparatus is for nondestructive detection of one or more transparent or reflective objects in a vessel that is at least partially filled with a fluid. The apparatus comprises an imager, a memory and a processor. The imager is configured to acquire data that represent light reflected from a plurality of spatial locations in the vessel as a function of time. The memory is operably coupled to the imager and configured to store the data. The processor is operably coupled to the memory and configured to detect the objects based on the data by: (i) identifying a respective maximum amount of reflected light for each location in the plurality of locations, and (ii) determining a presence or absence of the objects in the vessel based on the number of spatial locations whose respective maximum amount of reflected light exceeds a predetermined value.

Abstract

System (100) and method of foil packaging components of a drug delivery device (110), e.g. autoinjector, pen injector, involving introducing first and second sheets of foil (101, 103) into a welding assembly with welding bars (106a, 106b), welding the sheets of foil (101, 103) together to form a first weld (112), providing a pen injector component (110) between the sheets of foil (101, 103) above the first welded, moving the sheets of foil (101, 103) downwards, and welding the first and second sheets of foil (101, 103) together to form a second weld (112) above the pen injector component (110). This can provide a foil packaging (120) with the pen injector components (110). Also disclosed is a system (200) and method for unloading or unpacking the foil packaged components of drug delivery device (110) which involves pushing a rod (210) between the welds in the foil packaging (120).

Abstract

Provided herein are T-cell receptors (TCRs) that when expressed recombinantly on the surface of a T cell are able to recognize the DCAF4L2-derived peptide ILQDGQFLV (SEQ TD NO:1) when presented by HLA-A*02:01 sufficiently to activate the recombinant T cell. Importantly, exemplary TCRs provided herein were thoroughly screened for lack of cross-reactivity with similar peptides that may be presented by normal cells or tissue and for alloreactivity.

Abstract

The present invention provides devices and methods for establishing aseptic connections between two or more components or subassemblies. The devices may be used in medical devices such as drug delivery pumps (10). In some embodiments, a connection is made between a drug container (50, 1050, 2050) and a fluid pathway connection assembly (300, 1300, 2300). The fluid pathway connection assembly may include a connection hub (312, 1312, 2312), a piercing member (316, 1316, 2316), and a piercing member retainer (314, 1314, 2314). The assembly may further include a first film (318, 1318, 2318) covering a cavity (312A, 1312A, 2312A), thereby maintaining the aseptic condition of the cavity. The drug container may hold a fluid drug and include a pierceable seal (326, 1326, 2326). A second film (322, 1322, 2322) may cover a recess (328, 1328, 2328) formed by the seal and thereby maintain the aseptic condition of the interior of the chamber. The piercing member may be caused to pierce the first and second film and the pierceable seal to open a fluid pathway for delivery of the fluid drug through the fluid pathway connection assembly.
