Abstract

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a thickening liquid composition which enables a thickening agent to exist in a state of having low viscosity and to restore the original viscosity when the thickening agent is diluted. In this thickening liquid composition containing a thickening agent, the added amount of a highly branched cyclic dextrin and/or a starch degradation product of which the DE is 1-15 is set equal to or more than a threshold concentration at which the effect of lowering the viscosity of the thickening agent is exerted, and the concentration of the highly branched cyclic dextrin and/or the starch degradation product of which the DE is 1-15 is set lower than the threshold concentration after being diluted by a dilution material including water. As a result, the thickening agent can exist in a state of having low viscosity and can restore the original viscosity when the thickening agent is diluted.

Abstract

A method of improving the affinity of a solvent for the surface of a sparingly soluble or insoluble substance. Also provided is a molded object which contains a sparingly soluble or insoluble substance and is produced from a solution of the sparingly soluble or insoluble substance. The method of improving the affinity of the surface of a substance for a solvent comprises a step in which the substance surface is brought into contact with a water-soluble xylan and the solvent, the substance being sparingly soluble or insoluble in the solvent in the absence of the water-soluble xylan. The solution comprises a water-soluble xylan added, a substance, and a solvent, wherein the substance is sparingly soluble or insoluble in the solvent in the absence of the water-soluble xylan. The molded object comprises a water-soluble xylan added and the sparingly soluble substance.

Abstract

Disclosed is a pharmaceutical preparation for external application to the skin, which comprises a phosphorylated sugar. The phosphorylated sugar may be an inorganic salt of a phosphorylated sugar. The phosphorylated sugar may be in the form of a calcium salt, a magnesium salt, a potassium salt, a zinc salt, an iron salt or a sodium salt. Also disclosed is a pharmaceutical preparation for external application to the skin, which comprises a phosphorylated sugar and a second component. The second component is selected from the group consisting of a moisturizing component, a skin-whitening agent, an UV-absorber, an anti-inflammatory agent, a cell-activating agent and an anti-oxidant. The moisturizing agent may be ascorbic acid or an ascorbic acid derivative.

Abstract

Disclosed is a tablet for use in the removal of a tongue coating containing a highly soluble saccharide and a poorly soluble saccharide which are water-soluble. The highly soluble saccharide is a saccharide showing the highest solubility in water at 37˚C among the water-soluble saccharides contained the tablet as the main ingredients. The poorly soluble saccharide is a saccharide showing the lowest solubility in water at 37˚C among the water-soluble saccharides contained the tablet as the main ingredients. The difference between the solubility of the highly soluble saccharide in water at 37˚C and that of the poorly soluble saccharide in water at 37˚C is 10% by weight or greater.
