The method can comprise three periods of work for a given area: - a first period of work during which the sleepers and ballast are renewed, - a second period of work during which additional ballasting is carried out in order to adjust the height of the track, - a third period of work during which the rails are renewed.
The invention relates to a ballast clearing machine (302) that can remove worn ballast from a railway track and reload new ballast onto said track, said ballast clearing machine comprising a first and a second end, comprising means for removing all or part of the worn ballast and receiving new ballast on the same end. The invention also relates to a ballast renewing train comprising at least one ballast clearing machine (302) that can be coupled by just one of its ends, especially the rear end, to a set (301) of carriages for transporting granular material. The invention further relates to a method for renewing ballast of a portion of a railway track, using the same machine for removing the ballast and unloading ballast onto said portion of railway track.
E01B 27/10 - Renewing or cleaning the ballast in situ, with or without concurrent work on the track without taking-up the track
E01B 27/11 - Renewing or cleaning the ballast in situ, with or without concurrent work on the track combined with concurrent renewal of track components
E01B 29/06 - Transporting, laying, removing, or renewing sleepers
The invention also relates to a method for constructing a railway track (V1), comprising the steps consisting in: pouring a track slab (3) on a foundation slab (2); making two parallel longitudinal notches (5a, 5b) in each track, from the upper surface (3a) of the track slab; and securing a rail (11a, 11b) in each notch, each rail comprising a rail base (12) topped with a rail head (13) and a flap (14), said rail head and flap defining therebetween a groove (15), said rails (11a, 11b) not including webs. Advantageously, the height of the rails is less than or equal to half of the width.
