Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a surface treatment method for treating a moulding surface (2) of a glassmaking mould (1). This surface treatment method comprises a step of cold spraying a metal powder (4) in the solid state onto the moulding surface (2) of the glassmaking mould (1) so as to obtain a solid deposit (5). It also comprises a step of machining the solid deposit (5) so as to obtain a coating. The present disclosure also relates to a metal powder, to a surface treatment machine and to a surface treatment facility for implementing such a method, as well as to a glassmaking mould obtained by means of such a method.

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a method for lubricating a metal surface (2) of a metal part that is configured to come into contact with a parison, such as a glass mould (1). This method comprises a step of cold spraying a metal powder (4) in the solid state onto the metal surface (2) so as to obtain a solid deposit (5). It also comprises a step (120) of machining the solid deposit (5) so as to obtain a lubricating coating (6). The present disclosure also relates to a metal powder, a surface treatment machine and a surface treatment facility for implementing such a method, and to a part obtained by means of such a method.

Abstract

Disclosed are methods of hardfacing a glass mold made of cast iron, bronze, or steel comprising: machining an edge of the mold so as to form a flat surface, for example a flat spot or a chamfer; depositing a determined quantity of hardfacing material on the flat surface of the edge thereby machined, the hardfacing material comprising a metal or a metal alloy; and, simultaneously, locally welding the hardfacing material on the flat surface by means of a beam of a laser, so as to form a reinforcement zone.
