The invention relates to a shield-shaped side-wall protection element for a vehicle tire and to a protective device for vehicle tires. In order to provide a side-wall protection element for vehicle tires that can optimally protect a tire side wall even under rough conditions and that can be produced economically and is easy to install, the invention provides a shield-shaped side-wall protection element (1) for a vehicle tire (3), comprising a radially inner base (6), an outer edge (11), which forms the radially outer end (2) and which extends in a circumferential direction (U), and a shield segment (5), which extends from the outer edge (11) at least to the base (6), wherein the outer edge (11) is at least partially offset axially inward from the base (6). The protective device for vehicle tires, according to the invention, comprises a plurality of shield-shaped side-wall protection elements (1) arranged overlapping in the manner of shingles in a circumferential direction (U).

ANTI-SKID CHAIN HAVING LATERALLY STABLE GUIDING CHAINS
The invention relates to an anti-skid chain (1), in particular for forest and agricultural vehicles. The anti-skid chain (1) should allow high traction at low weight and easy mounting. At the same time, it should also allow operation on roads. In order to make this possible, according to the invention, an anti-skid chain for installation on two wheels having tires (2), which wheels are mounted in tandem at a fixed distance, in particular the two wheels of a tandem axle, is provided. The anti-skid chain is provided with two lateral, laterally stable guiding chains (4), which are located laterally to the tread (12) of the tires (2) when mounted. A chain mesh (14) having chain strands (15) extends between the two guiding chains (4). Preferably, the chain mesh is divided into ladder-like sections (16), which are interconnected only by means of the guiding chain (4). Link points (9) of the guiding chains are located in a radial position between the radius of the tire shoulder (12) and the center of tire (13). The guiding chains (4) are in particular configured as plate link chains.
B60C 27/06 - Non-skid devices temporarily attachable to resilient tyres or resiliently-tyred wheels extending over the complete circumference of tread, e.g. made of chains
B62D 55/20 - Tracks of articulated type, e.g. chains

CLOSURE ASSEMBLY, IN PARTICULAR FOR TYRE SKID CHAINS
The present invention relates to a closure assembly (1, 1') for closing a connecting link (100) of a tyre chain, with at least one closure element (10, 10') that has at least one limb receptacle (14, 14'), which is designed to receive, at least in sections, a limb (101) of the connecting link (100). In addition, the invention relates to a connecting link (100) for connecting at least two links of a tyre chain to two limbs (101) connected to each other via a yoke (108), as well as a tyre chain, in particular a tyre skid chain. In order to enable simple and repeatedly detachable fastening of the closure arrangement (1, 1') on the connecting link (100), the closure element (10, 10') according to the invention has a rotary latch receptacle (11, 11") connected to the at least one limb receptacle (14, 14") with a rotary latch (50, 50') arranged, at least in sections, in the rotary latch receptacle, wherein the rotary latch protrudes into the at least one limb receptacle (14, 14') while the rotary latch is in its closed position (S) in order to secure the closure element (10, 10') on the limb (101), and at least one of the two limbs (101) has an engaging portion (104) that is designed to work in combination with a closure arrangement (1, 1') according to one of claims 1 to 13.
