Abstract

A direct contact pour spout carton device is provided. The device is comprised of a direct contact pour spout carton device that comprises a carton body configured in various shapes and sizes, such as gable tops, trapezoidal forms, or custom geometries, designed for liquid or semi-liquid contents. The carton body includes multiple sidewalls, a bottom, and a top, made from materials such as LDPE-coated paperboard or multilayer composites for enhanced barrier properties. Features like grease-resistant coatings or foil-lined boards with skive seals improve durability under wet or refrigerated conditions. The pour spout, integrated into the carton body, includes perforated portions, a cap with a living hinge, and optional resealing mechanisms, enabling controlled dispensing and reclosure. The manufacturing process involves precision die-cutting, scoring, or perforating to incorporate the spout features, followed by folding and sealing to form a durable and functional container.

Abstract

The present invention relates generally to a new and improved paper-based container. More specifically, the invention relates to a paper-based container that is comprised of a relatively low-density polyethylene coating on one or both surfaces of the container and at least two skive flaps, wherein each of said skive flaps is created during the manufacturing process. The skive flap further comprises at least one leading edge of the container body, and prevents unwanted moisture from entering the container and the contents of the container from saturating the paper-based material. One skive flap is preferably folded in a manner in which a portion of the outside surface of the container is adhered to the inside surface, a second skive flap is adhered to the outside surface and a third skive is formed at the bottom of the container.

Abstract

A container with a non-heat-seal window and a process for fabricating a low surface energy container with a non-heat-seal window. The process comprises forming a container template and cutting an opening in the container template. A window comprising a window stock material, a releasable liner, and a wiped on adhesive positioned between the window stock material and the releasable liner is sized to overlap the opening. A portion of the adhesive is exposed and the window is positioned over the opening. The window is then secured to the container template over the opening without the need to apply heat, and the container template is folded into the low surface energy container with the window.
