The invention relates to a device comprising a moulding block provided with at least one thermoforming chamber (28) having an inner surface (29), an axial opening (28A) through which a decorative strip (38) can be inserted into the chamber, and a moveable bottom (40) opposite the opening. The bottom can be moved into an end section (28A) of the chamber (28) between a high positioning level and at least one low thermoforming level, and the device has at least one grooving assembly comprising a fin (42) of the bottom (40) engaged in a notch (44) of the inner surface of the end section (28B).
The device comprises at least one first and one second analogue mould block (31, 32), a counter mould, means for advancing a thermoplastic material in an advancement direction (F), and two labelling blocks (50, 52). The mould blocks can be displaced according to a first displacement (D) between a forming level and a release level. In said open position, the movable part (46) is separated from the main body (44) by a lateral opening (48), in a direction opposite the axial opening (62). The at least one retractable member (58) is capable of penetrating through said lateral opening (48) when the movable part of the mold bottom is in the open position, so as to form at least one retractable flange (60) in the thermoforming chamber (28) opposite the axial opening (62). The invention also relates to a thermoforming method and thermoforming equipment using a mold unit (24).
The invention relates to the field of manufacturing containers (37) by thermoforming, and in particular to a process comprising: the insertion of a decorative wrapper (38) into a thermoforming chamber (28) of a mould block (24), butting against at least one shoulder (58,60) initially present in the thermoforming chamber (28) in a position for receiving the decorative wrapper (38); the forming of a hot thermoplastic preform by a piston (30) penetrating the thermoforming chamber (28); and the blowing of the preform against an internal surface (54) of the thermoforming chamber (28). In this process, said shoulder (58,60) is retracted before the end of the blowing step. The invention also relates to a plant for implementing such a process.
The containers are thermoformed in a thermoforming station (29) from pellets (16) cut from a strip of thermoplastic (10). Before the containers (29) are thermoformed, the pellet regions of the strip (10) are heated, the hot pellets (16) are cut out from the heated region and the hot pellets are conveyed to the thermoforming station (20).
The invention relates to a method and to a device for making containers (R) by thermoforming and for applying decorations (32) to said containers. The containers are thermoformed in at least one thermoforming chamber (22) of at least one mold unit (30A, 30B, 30C, 30D) into which a decoration (32) has been inserted. Before thermoforming a container (R), the position of the decoration (32) is adjusted in the chamber (22) and the decoration is charged with static electricity so as to be retained flat against the wall of the chamber containing the same.
The invention comprises providing at least a first mould block (20A), placing the block in a first tilted position (B1) for urging a bottom label (32A) into a thermoforming chamber (24) of the block through the open edge (24B) of said chamber until the label reaches the bottom of said chamber, and pivoting the mould block until it reaches a work position (T) for forming a vessel in the chamber. The mould can assume a second tilted position (B2) for placing a side decoration in the chamber.
