The present invention relates to an aqueous catalytic composition which accelerates amino plastic resin curing, comprising, in percent by weight, between 55 and 65% water, between 35 and 45% of an ammonium salt, between 0.5 and 4.0% sulfamic acid and between 0.1 and 10% of a pH adjustor, and respective process for curing amino plastic resins used in wood panels in the presence of between 0.1 and 20%, on dry basis, of the composition, under process conditions.

FORMALDEHYDE SCAVENGER COMPOSITION FOR WOOD LAMINATE, PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING WOOD LAMINATE WITH REDUCED FORMALDEHYDE EMISSION AND IMPROVED MECHANICAL PROPERTIES, AND WOOD LAMINATE
Described is a formaldehyde scavenger composition for wood laminate, containing between 10 and 99 parts of an alkanolamine and between 90 and 1 part of a glycol per hundred parts of composition, the composition being applied after the laminate pressing step in an amount, in grams per square meter of surface area, of between 5 and 70 g/m2. As a result of the process of applying the claimed composition, the laminate produced exhibits reduced formaldehyde emission and improved water absorption and mechanical properties compared to a control laminate. A process for manufacturing a laminate and a wood laminate are also described.

A description is given of compositions based on emulsions of wax and particulate inorganic compounds for improved water-repellency, comprising, in terms of a percentage relative to the total composition, from 5% to 90% water, from 0.01% to 20% surfactants, from 2% to 90% waxes and from 2% to 90% particulate inorganic compounds with a particle size of between 0.01 μm and 1000 μm and selected from non-modified phylosilicates such as agalmatolite, potassium aluminosilicate, magnesium silicate talc, or mixtures of these in any proportion, added before or after the emulsification of said waxes, giving rise to a synergistic effect of increasing water-repellency when said compositions are applied to reconstituted wood composite panels, mortars, textures, plaster and dyes for use in civil construction.
The invention relates to wax emulsions to which inorganic compounds are added, preferably agalmatolite, potassium aluminosilicate, magnesium silicate talc, or mixtures thereof, added before or after the waxes are emulsified, with the synergistic effect of increasing the water repellence of these emulsions, which are applied to composite, reconstituted wood panels, mortars, textures, gypsum, paints, among other uses in the building industry.
A method is described for producing reconstituted wood composite panels with improved water-repellency and reduced formaldehyde emission obtained by adding to the wood and resin mass ultra-fine emulsions based on paraffins and formol scavengers with a nanometric particle distribution, thus promoting an improved surface contact, reducing water absorption and formaldehyde emission by the composites.
