Abstract

The invention relates to a water flow control valve (10) for reducing water pressure. The valve (10) comprises at least a first (36) and a second (38), serially arranged water flow controlling units positioned in the valve body cavity (18). The controlling units (36, 38) comprise a plurality of openings (40) and the total area of the openings (40) associated with the first water flow controlling unit (36) is smaller than the total area of the openings associated with the second water flow controlling unit (38). Each opening (40) of the flow controlling units comprises at least two sections, wherein a section facing the water outlet of the water flow control valve has a tapering shape.

Abstract

The invention relates to a valve (10) for simultaneously reducing pressure and temperature of steam with a first inlet port (12) for introduction of coolant, a second inlet port (14) for introduction of steam and an outlet port (16) for evacuating the fluid created by mixing of the coolant and the steam. The valve (10) comprises a valve stem (20), a valve plug (22) and two axially extending pipes (24, 26), making up an axially reciprocable unit. A water carrying pipe (24) is provided with at least two arrays (41, 43) of orifices for receiving cooling water and with means for injecting received water into a mixing chamber (17). A steam channel (21) transports steam into the steam pipe (26) for subsequent injection into said chamber (17). Diameter of the orifices of the outermost array (41) is inferior to diameter of the holes of the neighboring array (43).

Abstract

The invention relates to a bypass valve (10) for a steam turbine with an axially extending valve body (16) having a steam inlet (12) and a steam outlet (14), and a cage (18) with perforations for allowing steam to enter the valve body (16). A plug (28) is reciprocally movable in the interior of the valve body (16). The valve further comprises a detachable, substantially annular valve seat (34), a compression ring (22) arranged so that it rests against an internal lip (24) provided in the valve body (16) and an annular seat gasket (35) made in compressible material. In the assembled state of the bypass valve (10), the compression ring (22) and the seat gasket (35) are axially compressed and the valve seat (34) is rendered immobile between the cylindrical cage (18) and the seat gasket (35). The invention also relates to a replacement kit for a bypass valve.

Abstract

The invention relates to an attemperator (10) for a steam-based plant. The attemperator (10) comprises a pipe section (12) and a tubular liner (14). A first opening (20) is arranged in the pipe section and a second opening (22) is arranged in the liner. At least one water nozzle (24) extends through the openings. A circumferentially extending projection (25) is arranged on the pipe section (12), said projection (25) having a circumferentially extending groove (27). A radially extending projection (26) is arranged on the liner (14). A corresponding recess (28) is arranged in the projection (25) such that, when the liner (14) is being inserted into the pipe section (12), the projection (26) passes through the recess (28) and enters the circumferentially extending groove (27). The invention further relates to a method (50) for assembly of an attemperator for a steam-based plant.
