Abstract

This sterilizing apparatus comprises: a lamp body in which a gas for generating ultraviolet rays through discharging is accommodated, and which is provided in a cylindrical shape; and a plurality of external electrodes, which are disposed on the outer circumferential surface of the lamp body and face each other. The sterilizing apparatus comprises: a plurality of electrode terminals connected to each of the plurality of external electrodes such that voltage is applied from an external voltage to the plurality of external electrodes; and a housing for supporting the plurality of electrode terminals and covering one end of the lamp body. The lamp body can be separated from the housing.

Abstract

A rare gas lamp device is disclosed. The rare gas lamp device comprises: a lamp body provided in a cylindrical shape to accommodate a rare gas and a fluorescent material for emission; a plurality of cap electrodes fixed to both end portions of the lamp body; and a plurality of band electrodes, which extend in a longitudinal direction from the plurality of cap electrodes, are arranged to face each other with respect to the central axis of the lamp body, and are arranged on the outer circumferential surface of the lamp body, wherein a light-emitting region of the lamp body is an exposed surface of the outer circumferential surface of the lamp body between the plurality of band electrodes and comprises: a spring holder, which applies a voltage to the band electrode through the plurality of cap electrodes, is coupled to each of the plurality of cap electrodes, and includes a first fixing part for supporting a first side of the cap electrode, a second fixing part for supporting a second side of the cap electrode, and an insertion hole formed between a first end of the first fixing part and a first end of the second fixing part to allow the cap electrode to be inserted therethrough; and a stopper protruding from each of the plurality of cap electrodes to limit rotation of the light-emitting region with respect to the central axis of the lamp body by interfering with the first end of the first fixing part or the first end of the second fixing part when each of the plurality of cap electrodes is inserted through the insertion hole.

The rare gas lamp device includes: a lamp body provided in a shape of a cylinder to contain a rare gas and a fluorescent material for emitting light; a plurality of cap electrodes fixed to both ends of the lamp body; a plurality of band electrodes extending in a length direction from the plurality of cap electrodes and arranged opposite to each other with respect to a center axis of the lamp body, and positioned on a circumferential surface of the lamp body, wherein a light-emitting area of the lamp body is an exposed surface of the circumferential surface of the lamp body between the plurality of band electrodes; a spring holder coupled with each of the plurality of cap electrodes and configured to apply a voltage to the band electrodes through the plurality of cap electrodes, the spring holder including a first fixing part configured to support a first side of the cap electrode, a second fixing part configured to support a second side of the cap electrode, and an inserting opening formed between a first end of the first fixing part and a first end of the second fixing part such that the cap electrode is inserted in the inserting opening; and a stopper protruding from each of the plurality of cap electrodes, wherein, when each of the plural of cap electrodes is inserted through the inserting opening, the stopper is interfered by the first end of the first fixing part or the first end of the second fixing part to restrict the light-emitting area from rotating about the center axis of the lamp body.

Abstract

An external electrode fluorescent lamp (EEFL) having an auxiliary lamp, an EEFL assembly, and a lamp apparatus using the same are disclosed. The EEFL includes: a main lamp including a discharge gas filled therein; and at least one auxiliary lamp communicating with the main lamp and including an electrode formed on its outer circumferential surface to induce plasma discharge within the main lamp. The EEFL assembly secures a light emitting region of the EEFL to its maximum level and has a socket which is integrally assembled with the lamp to thus facilitate lamp replacement. The lamp apparatus has an improved stability and external appearance by preventing wirings for applying power to the lamp from being exposed.
