SELF-ADJUSTING THERMOSTAT FOR FLOOR WARMING CONTROL SYSTEMS AND OTHER APPLICATIONS
A method of controlling the temperature of an environment, including the steps of providing a thermostat and receiving a signal from an occupancy sensor indicating whether an area has been occupied for each discrete time period of a 24 hour time period, assigning a first point value to each discrete time period where occupancy has been sensed, and repeating the steps for the next two 24 hour periods, and averaging the point values for each discrete time period in the first, second, and third 24 hour periods, to obtain an average point value, and sending a first signal to a heating device adapted for heating a second area to provide a temperature-related setting for a given discrete time period when the average point value for that discrete time period is above a threshold point value.
A sealed electrical enclosure (10) used in hazardous locations for enclosing circuit breakers having a bottom housing (12) and a removable top housing (14) with a labyrinth joint or serrated joint (80) formed therebetween, the bottom housing adapted to receive one or more circuit breakers (118, 128, 138, 148), a first metal bus (30) extending from a point internal to the bottom housing through a first end wall to a point external thereto, and a second metal bus (32) extending from a point internal to the bottom housing through a second end wall to a point external to thereto, where the first and second metal buses are adapted to contact first and second electrical terminals (120, 122) of a circuit breaker when placed within the bottom housing, and a first lug retaining bracket (256) secured to the bottom housing and extending to a position beneath the first metal bus such that a bottom portion of a connector assembly may fit within the space between the end of the lug retaining bracket and the bottom of the first metal bus.
A sealed electrical enclosure for use in hazardous locations for enclosing circuit breakers having a bottom housing and a top housing with a labyrinth joint, a serrated joint, or combination of both being formed therebetween, a first aperture extending through a first end wall of the bottom housing and positioned adjacent a first contact terminal of a first circuit breaker, the first aperture further including a first metal bus extending therethrough and in electrical contact with the first contact terminal, and a second aperture extending through a second end wall of the bottom housing and positioned adjacent a second contact terminal of the first circuit breaker, the second aperture further including a second metal bus extending therethrough and in electrical contact with the second contact terminal, and a first actuating mechanism positioned on the top housing adapted for manipulating a switch of the first circuit breaker.

The present application provides a sealed electrical enclosure for use in hazardous location applications for enclosing circuit breakers or other electrical components comprising a bottom housing having a first end wall and a second end wall opposite the first end wall; a top housing positioned the bottom housing, a labyrinth seal or joint being formed between the bottom housing and the top housing; the bottom housing adapted to receive a plurality of circuit breakers or other electrical components; and a first metal bus extending from a point internal to the bottom housing through the first end wall to a point external to the bottom housing; and a second metal bus extending from a point internal to the bottom housing through the second end wall to a point external to the bottom housing; where the first metal bus and the second metal bus are adapted to contact first and second electrical terminals of a first circuit breaker placed within the bottom housing; and further includes a third metal bus extending from a point internal to the bottom housing through the first end wall to a point external to the bottom housing; and a fourth metal bus extending from a point internal to the bottom housing through the second end wall to a point external to the bottom housing; where the third metal bus and the fourth metal bus are adapted to contact the first and second electrical terminals of a second circuit breaker placed within the bottom housing; and an first actuating mechanism positioned on a top of the top housing adapted for manipulating one or more switches of circuit breakers or electrical components positions within the bottom housing; and a first vent positioned on the top housing for dissipating pressure buildup within the housing; and a second vent positioned on the bottom housing for dissipating pressure buildup within the housing; and wherein the top housing is removably secured to the bottom housing to allow for removal and replacement of circuit breakers or other electrical components within the housing.
