Abstract
The object of the present invention relates to a rotating drum for infeeding material by gravity to its interior, which can be used both inside a vessel that could be subjected to pressure or not, such as for example for the treatment of solid waste with water vapour, and externally for all types of equipment that require infeeding material to a rotating drum for the transportation and tumbling thereof, wherein due to the special configuration thereof it does not require an independent device for infeeding material to the rotating drum.

Abstract
The present invention relates to a system for continuously treating solid waste and an associated process based on steam injection at a temperature greater than 100°C and at a pressure greater than the atmospheric pressure, which allow a high productivity to be achieved, require a smaller volume of the pressure vessel needed to carry out the solid waste treatment, and reduce the amount of steam needed to carry out said treatment.

Abstract
An apparatus and procedure for efficiently sterilizing waste material or products. The apparatus includes a reactor in the form of a cylindrical container housing two cylindrical tubes, a larger first tube and a smaller second tube. A first helical blade extends inwardly from the inner surface of the second tube, and a second helical blade bridges the outer surface of the second tube to the inner surface of the first tube. As the set of tubes is rotated in unison, material flows in one direction within the second tube and in the opposite direction in the space between the tubes. This axially compact design allows non stop introduction and extraction of waste, efficient use of heat energy, provided by steam injected into the reactor through a steam port, and allows for material to be input into and extracted from the device both at one end of the reactor.

Abstract
An apparatus and procedure for efficiently sterilizing waste material or products. The apparatus includes a reactor (10) in the form of a cylindrical container housing two cylindrical tubes (12, 14), a larger first tube and a smaller second tube. A first helical blade (16) extends inwardly from the inner surface of the second tube, and a second helical blade (18) bridges the outer surface of the second tube to the inner surface of the first tube. As the set of tubes is rotated in unison, material flows in one direction within the second tube and in the opposite direction in the space between the tubes. This axially compact design allows non stop introduction and extraction of waste, efficient use of heat energy, provided by steam injected into the reactor through a steam port (23), and allows for material to be input into and extracted from the device both at one end of the reactor.
