Abstract

The subject of the invention is a device for producing energy from biomass, comprising: - a first run of shafts (24) to which there are connected a compressor (26) and a first turbine (28); a first exchanger (30) performing heat exchange between, on the one hand, a fluid known as a motive fluid compressed beforehand by the said compressor (26) and expanded in the said first turbine (28), and, on the other hand, hot gases from the combustion of the biomass; a second run of shafts (32) to which there are connected a second turbine (34) and means (36) of converting kinetic energy into another form of energy; a second exchanger (38) performing heat exchange between, on the one hand, a motive fluid powering the second turbine (34), and, on the other hand, hot gases from the combustion of the biomass, characterized in that: the motive fluid used in the said second turbine (34) is the motive fluid leaving the compressor (26) without passing through the first turbine (28).
