Abstract

An all-wheel steer trailer having six wheels is disclosed. The trailer includes an elongated frame means having first and second frame members having forward and rearward ends. A pivotal axle support is positioned at the forward end of the trailer and has first and second wheels rotatably mounted thereto. An elongated tongue has its rearward end secured to the axle support for pivotally moving the axle support and the first and second wheels mounted thereon. A tandem axle assembly is mounted on the first and second frame members forwardly of the rearward ends thereof. The tandem axle assembly includes third, fourth, fifth and sixth wheels which are rotatably and pivotally secured to the frame means. When the first and second wheels are pivotally moved in one direction, the third, fourth, fifth and sixth wheels are pivoted in an opposite direction.

Abstract

A brine maker including a hopper having an open upper end and an open lower end with the hopper being configured to receive salt therein. A solids screen is positioned at the lower end of the hopper. A receiving tank having an open upper end is positioned below the solids screen. An overflow tube is positioned in the hopper and has an upper end positioned below the upper end of the hopper. When the level of salt brine reaches the upper end of the overflow tube, the salt brine will overflow into the overflow tube and will pass downward therethrough the solids screen and into the receiving tank. The invention includes a second embodiment wherein an overflow panel with an upper end is positioned in the hopper thereby creating a passageway into which brine overflow may pass thereinto and pass through the solids screen into the receiving tank.

Abstract

An all-wheel steer trailer is disclosed which includes an elongated frame, having a forward end and a rearward end, with the forward end of the frame having the rearward end of an elongated tongue secured thereto about a horizontal axis. The rearward end of the tongue is pivotally secured, about a horizontal axis, to a pair of wheels at the forward end of the frame. The invention includes an improved structure wherein the pivoting of the front wheels of the trailer also causes the pivoting of the rear wheels of the trailer so that the rear wheels track the front wheels of the trailer as the trailer is being turned. The trailer includes an improved means for pivoting the rear wheels of the trailer with respect to the front wheels of the trailer as the trailer is being turned.

Abstract

An all-wheel steer trailer is disclosed which includes front and rear axle beams which are pivotally mounted, above vertical axes, to the forward and rearward ends of a frame. In normal operation, the front and rear axle beams are interconnected so that the rear axle beam will pivot in an opposite direction to pivotal movement of the front axle beams so that the rear wheels of the trailer will track the front wheels of the trailer as the trailer is being turned. The trailer includes a convenient locking assembly which may be quickly utilized to prevent pivotal movement of the rear axle beam with respect to the frame when it is desired to pull the trailer on a highway or roadway.
